Advanced Digestive Surgery
Digestive Diseases represent a broad group of diseases affecting the organs involved in digestion and excretion of food. Surgical Associates are highly trained and experienced in the specialized field of digestive surgery. We perform elective and emergency surgery on the organs of the digestive tract, from the starting point at the esophagus, thru the stomach, liver, pancreas, spleen, small bowel and colon, all the way down to the rectum and anus. We will help you decide the best medical and/or surgical treatment option for your specific condition and we frequently render second opinions.
Our experienced surgeons, J. R. Salameh, MD, FACS, James Mayes, MD, FACS, Hatem Halabi, MD, FACS and Amanda Parker, MD are fellowship trained in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery and Surgical oncology. They are members of numerous societies that teach and research the diseases and functions of the alimentary tract, such as the Society of American Gastro-intestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
Our surgeons strive to provide you with the most recent medical and technical advancements in digestive surgery. We bring you the latest in minimally invasive surgical procedures and take a laparoscopic ("key hole") approach to digestive surgery whenever possible.
