Amanda Parker, MD

Dr. Amanda Parker is a board certified general surgeon with fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. She received her M.D. from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (Dallas, TX) and then completed her general surgery residency at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (Little Rock, AR). Her fellowship training in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery was performed at The Methodist Hospital (Houston, TX) which is academically affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Parker performs a wide range of minimally invasive surgeries including ventral and inguinal hernia repair, anti-reflux surgery, and weight loss surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Dr. Parker resides in northern Virginia and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, and skiing.
